Ayurvedic medicine seeks to restore this balance through a holistic approach that includes diet, lifestyle changes, and herbal remedies. Ayurveda has been practiced for centuries and is gaining popularity in the western world as people seek alternatives to conventional medicine.

Ayurveda is often referred to as the "science of life" or the "art of living" due to its holistic approach to health and well-being. It recognizes that each person is unique and therefore requires individualized treatment. Ayurvedic practitioners use a variety of tools to assess a person's health, including pulse diagnosis, tongue assessment, and iridology (examination of the eyes).
