Cell Phone USE and Cancer Will 5G Technology Beat COVID-19 Virus?

As we sit at home reading our cell phones worrying about contracting the COVID-19 Virus, is there something greater to consider? I think the math, governments, and lack of consumer knowledge have made the choice.

The big cell phone companies have borrowed the very same strategy and tactics big tobacco and big oil pioneered to deceive the public about the risks of smoking and climate change. Similar to their tobacco and oil counterparts, the wireless industry has lied to the public even after their own scientists privately warned that their products could be dangerous, especially to children.

Radiofrequency radiation is a form of electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation can be categorized into two types: ionizing (e.g., x-rays, radon, and cosmic rays) and non-ionizing (e.g., radiofrequency and extremely low frequency, or power frequency). Electromagnetic radiation is defined according to its wavelength and frequency, which is the number of cycles of a wave that passes a reference point per second. Electromagnetic frequencies are described in units called hertz (Hz).

If RF radiation is high enough, it has a 'thermal' effect, which means it raises body temperature. There are concerns that the low levels of RF radiation emitted by mobile phones could cause health problems as little as headaches to major diseases like brain tumors.

Mobile phones had been allowed on to the US market a decade earlier without any government safety testing. Now, some customers and industry workers were being diagnosed with cancer. In January 1993, David Reynard sued the NEC America Company, claiming that his wife’s NEC phone caused her lethal brain tumor. After Reynard appeared on national television, the story gained ground. A congressional subcommittee announced an investigation; investors began dumping mobile phone stocks and the CTIA swung into action.

The risk of “rare neuroepithelial tumors on the outside of the brain was more than doubled… in cellphone users”; there was an apparent correlation between “brain tumors occurring on the right side of the head and the use of the phone on the right side of the head”; and the “ability of radiation from a phone’s antenna to cause functional genetic damage is definitely positive”.

The World Health Organisation in 2011 would classify mobile phone radiation as a “possible” human carcinogen and the governments of the United Kingdom, France and Israel issued warnings against mobile phone use by children.

We dismiss claims about mobiles being bad for our health – but is that because studies showing a link to cancer have been cast into doubt by the industry?

War-gaming science involves playing offense as well as defense, meaning funding studies friendly to the industry while attacking studies that raise questions; placing industry-friendly experts on advisory bodies and seeking to discredit scientists whose views differ from the industries.

Neutralizing the safety issue "your health" has opened the door to the biggest prize of all: The Internet of Things and money of coarse. 

There is a catch, though: the Internet of Things will require augmenting today’s 4G technology with 5G technology, thus “massively increasing” the general population’s exposure to radiation, according to a petition signed by 236 scientists worldwide who have published more than 2,000 peer-reviewed studies and represent “a significant portion of the credentialled scientists in the radiation research field”, according to Joel Moskowitz, the director of the Center for Family and Community Health at the University of California, Berkeley, who helped circulate the petition. Nevertheless, like mobiles, 5G technology is on the verge of being introduced without pre-market safety testing.

So in life, there is always the decision on what to do. Logic plays a roll, using math may help:

• Giving the big cell phone companies the benefit of the doubt 5 times, we will use a 1% death rate for all the research showing cell phones will cause disease-related death.
• This math creates the unfortunate death of 35 million lives.

Smoking in an airplane was never thought to harm others, time showed that to be false. Will cell phone “use” be the next thing that our children learn about through poor health and death?

The pandemic of human death is cell phone use, the COVID-19 Virus can not even compete.
